How Tesco Marketplace works
At launch, the marketplace features around 17 carefully vetted sellers “to ensure they meet our robust requirements and standards,” according to Tesco. Among the available brands are household names such as Tefal, Silentnight, Tommee Tippee, and Charles Bentley.
Sellers will be continuously monitored based on delivery speed, return rates, delivery success rates, and soon customer ratings and reviews. Shoppers will pay separately for third-party items, which have their own delivery fees; however, standard deliveries are free for Anytime Delivery Saver customers or orders over £50 from the same seller. Customers can earn Clubcard points on all purchases, and items will be clearly marked as coming from third-party sellers.
